From 2009, we have the diminutive Timmy Willie, a character created by Beatrix Potter. Timmy was born in a country garden and lived quite happily there, until one day, when he curiously entered a picnic hamper. Here the tale begins, Timmy is taken to a town, whereby Johnny Town Mouse (a born and bred, cupboard born mouse) befriends him. The artisans at Steiff have recreated Beatrixs drawings lovingly, in crafting Timmy Willie.
Timmy Willie is a wee 12cm tall mouse, that is three-way jointed. He has been sewn from the finest, decadent alpaca in caramel and white, with wool felt paws. Careful shading brings definition and character to his enchanting face, whilst his umbrella leaf, has received airbrush shading too for realism. Like his strawberry, the umbrella leaf has been sewn using wool felt … Timmy is so glad to be home!
