This important part of Teddy Bear history, celebrates 100 years of the first jointed Teddy Bear. It is Bar 55PB a 1902 Replica (Bar for Bear, 55 for his height, 55cm, P for plush and B for beweglich, which means movable), originally designed by Richard Steiff and recreated by the present artisans at Steiff.
Bar 55PB is 55cm tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a decadently dense rust brown mohair with matching hued wool felt paws. Like his predecessor he has been stuffed with excelsior and bears expressive and glossy black boot button eyes with a moulded sealing wax nose. A glorious reminded of the Teddy Bears heritage!
This spectacular piece is a Worldwide Limited Edition from 2002 and is one of just 7,000 Bears. He will come to you boxed
He is missing his certificate, but has ear tag, chest tag, the bear is in beautiful new condition, from storage. His inner box has a small ding in it. Comes with outer box
