Named 'Kaas Beer' in Danish, which means Cheese Bear, this 1998 release represents in colour Gouda Cheese, which is one of the oldest, surviving types of cheese internationally. Originally believed to be of Danish origin, different districts produce Gouda from varying recipes, showing a preferred type/style of cheese.
Kaas Beer is a 30 cm / 12 " fully jointed teddy bear, with a warm tip and tilt growler. He has been sewn from the finest, luxury mohair in a wavy rich yellow, with warm wool felt paws. He has glossy two-tone brown eyes, with a hand stitched chestnut nose and mouth, upon his carefully trimmed snout, resulting in quite the character, whilst attached to his wrist by a yellow satin ribbon, is an original, round Dutch cheese box (tin), featuring traditional red, black and gold imagery and decals of the time.
This homage to a nations favourite is a Netherlands Exclusive, Limited Edition of 1,847 pieces and comes boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
