Coca Cola and the Polar Bear are synonymous together and have been, since Coca Cola included the polar bear, in their advertising of the 1920's. They are both iconic and collectable in themselves, but put them together and their popularity soars! A magical design by Steiff in collaboration with Coca Cola.
This enchanting character is an 18 cm / 7", non-jointed Polar Bear. He has been sewn from a luxurious, short-pile off-white mohair, with warm grey, wool felt paws, lidded glossy two-tone brown safety eyes, a moulded black nose and a wide embroidered grin. Delicate, hand applied colour shading has been used to create personality, shape and depth, whilst his wee cupped ears, cubby body, and general demeanour just beam 'happy'. In his right paw he holds the world famous 'glass' (contour) bottle of Coca Cola and you just see the magic!
Released in 2000, this highly collectable Licensed product, is a Worldwide Limited Edition of 10,000 pieces. He will come in his display box, with his numbered certificate of authenticity attached to his paw and wearing his Steiff trademark, 'Button in the Ear' with white satin tag and red print.
