From days of yesteryear, when there was no central heating or electric blankets, folk were kept warm on those cold winter nights, with hot stones placed in a lidded, metal bed pan, or from teddy bears with removable metal canisters that could be filled with boiling water. This 1907 Replica is a fabulous example by Steiff and a copy of the one they have in the Steiff archives.
Water Bottle Ted is 50cm / 20" tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a luxurious, curly brass mohair and stuffed with excelsior. He has meaningful, black wooden eyes with a lovable hand stitched nose. Running down his front is a tie, lace up closure. Beyond that, within a canvas pouch you will find a round metal canister. This is what would have once been filled with boiling water, to sneak the chill from your bed sheets.
A magical example of what once was. Water Bottle is a Worldwide Limited Edition of just 3,000 pieces and will come to you boxed with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
