You could not celebrate 100 yrs since the birth of Roald Dahl, without the BFG – Big Friendly Giant. … I is a nice and jumbly giant. I is the only jumbly Giant in Giant Country. I is the Big Friendly Giant. I is the BFG. What is your name? … With a new film released this year, we will all know the BFG and his befriendment of Sophie and their fight against the man-eating giants!
With inspiration taken from Quentin Blake, the illustrator who brought life to the words of Roald Dahl, Steiff have created a lovable and enchanting BFG.
The BFG is 33cm tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a sumptuous, apricot mohair with wool felt paws. He has unusually shaped, large ears that have been delicately airbrushed, whilst his quizzical, bushy eyebrows have been shaded into place too. He has round, glossy eyes with a charmingly, kissable hand stitched nose and mouth. He wears a rolled up sleeve, collar less tunic as a shirt, with a faux leather effect waistcoat and metal, buckled belt, upon his suede touch, brushed cotton trousers. He even wears a type of shoe/sandal using a mix of wool felt and faux suede. Like the other releases in this celebratory series, the BFG also features the name Roald Dahl embroidered in black upon the sole of his right shoe. Lets all speak gobblefunk to this adorable fellow!
Following in the paw prints of Willy Wonka (2016) and Charlie Bucket (2016), the BFG is a UK, Ireland and North American Exclusive of 1,000 pieces and will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
