Saying 'Hello' to 'yesterday' is the Dodo, who was last seen in 1662. Unique to Mauritius, this large member of the pigeon family is said to have perished with the arrival of dutch sailors, who devastated their habitat, introducing new animals species and hunting the bird themselves. Welcome Charlie Bears depiction of Woozy, the Dodo Bird, for their Bearhouse Collection. A glorious design by Isabelle Lee with Charlotte Morris exclusively for Charlie Bears.
Woozy is a non-jointed flightless dodo bird. He has been sewn from a sumptuously dense and soft, semi-fluffy mix of plush, in mottled shades of brown and dark beige, with a fluffy white plume of tail feathers, plus defined, velvety black claws and wet-sand toned legs and face, whilst his striking, two-tone yellow safety eyes and distinct shaped cocoa beak, help to create his comical persona. To finish, beans in his lower half give that satisfying cuddly feel.
