This is an opportunity to be personally coached, one to one, by probably the greatest 8 Ball Pool player, ever.
This includes training on the basics, such as stance, grip, bridge hand and cue action, moving on to cover all aspects of ball control, from side spin to screw back. You will then be coached on some more complex aspects of the game such as playing doubles, getting out of snookers and spotting ball patterns, before moving onto practice routines, that will rapidly improve your play, for you to go away with and practice on your own.
During this full day pool coaching, Gareth will also talk you through the psychology behind playing the game and how temperament and mental approach to a match can make all the difference. Gareth believes this is a huge part of playing any sport, and can turn an amateur into a pro.
After a break for lunch, you will get to play a full match against Gareth, using the skills you’ve learnt over the day. Finally, if you decide to do the coaching at Gareth’s pool club, you will have a session on Gareth’s Chinese 8 Ball table – the only one of it’s kind in Europe. This is the version of pool he now plays in China, with other big names in billiards from across Europe, such as Stephen Hendry.
During the day, Gareth will also concentrate on any aspects of the game that you feel needs most improvement, passing on his professional tips to help you to progress where it’s most needed.
