Griselinia Littoralis Instant Hedging Troughs 2.0-2.3m tall
Our Griselinia littoralis instant hedging troughs are excellent for creating an immediate, dense evergreen hedge. Each trough is 1 metre long and grown in a 90-litre trough, with the plants professionally trimmed into a neat hedge shape, ready for planting. The height of these Griselinia instant hedges are currently between 2m and 2.3m tall (6'6"-7'7" tall). The final height of your Griselinia littoralis hedge will depend on ongoing pruning and maintenance.
Planting & Spacing
For the best results, we recommend planting 1 trough per metre (3’3”) to achieve a dense, instant hedge.
We recommend digging a trench 60cm (2ft) wide and 30cm (1ft) deep. Loosen and break up the soil at the base of the trench to improve drainage and encourage strong root establishment.
If your soil quality is poor, remove some of the soil from the bottom of the trench and replace it with good-quality topsoil. At this stage, we also recommend adding our professional 12-14 month controlled-release fertiliser (feed) to provide all the nutrients the plants need and Rootgrow Friendly Fungi to support healthy root development.
Carefully remove the trough bag from the rootball and lower the trough into the trench. Backfill down the sides of the trough using good-quality soil, then firm the soil gently with your heel to secure the plants.
To ensure stability, we recommend staking the troughs for 12–24 months to prevent movement or wind damage while the roots establish.

Plant Heights
All heights are measured from the top of the compost in the trough to the top of the plant. The height quoted reflects the size of the plants at the time of delivery.
Pricing details
Prices are per trough, include VAT, but exclude delivery. Delivery charges can be viewed on our Delivery page or will be automatically calculated when you add plants to your basket and proceed through checkout.
