Known in Alaska, Canada and North America as Caribou, they are long associated with Christmas, for pulling Santa's sleigh. It's the Reindeer depicted by the masters of realism, Hansa.
The Reindeer is a L39 cm x W11 cm x H37 cm (15.3"x4.3"x14.5"), he is 12" head to toe exludign antlers, plush soft toy. He has been sewn from a mix of luxurious plush, to resemble the coat of his living counterpart. The reindeer himself has a genuine, realistic form and has been crafted from a dense, peat brown-tipped, brown mid-pile, with a dense and fluffy white for his neck ruff, undercarriage and a rim above his cloven hooves. His legs and face are a close, brown short-pile, matching that of his face and ears, with a smooth-touch for his velvety antlers and feet. His large, glossy two-tone brown safety eyes, are surround with white to emphasise, as is his muzzle, which is home to hand stitched features. Carefully applied hand shading and painting brings shape and definition, not only to his face, but his ears, antlers and hooves too. All this and he is wonderfully soft and cuddly, with a delightfully tactile touch.
Both his antlers and legs have internal supports to retain his pose.
