From the award winning New Zealand Teddy Bear Artist Robin Rive and her Countrylife Collection we welcome the 'vintage' inspired Kapok, a collectable limited edition, artist teddy bear.
Kapok is a 36 cm / 14", fully jointed teddy bear. He has been sewn from a luxurious, sparse-pile, 'matted' nutmeg mohair and tactile, warm wool-felt paws with his right sole featuring a facsimile of the Robin Rive logo and her signature and his left sole featuring 'Since 1902', with some wear above, showing his excelsior filling. It has been secured into place, so there is no worry of Kapok getting any thinner and was done, in memory of the original Farnell Bears. He has lop-sided ears, glossy black eyes, a smart skip-stitched nose and mouth (on his carefully trimmed muzzle) and four claws upon each paw, bringing back the charm and personality of yesteryears bears.
Kapok's name is a play of words, as kapok is a fibrous, natural cotton filling, while this Farnell inspired bear has wood wool and shows it!
This glorious character is a Worldwide Limited Edition of just 500 pieces and comes with his numbered, Certificate of Authenticity.
