Every year Steiff gives one of their esteemed artisans, the opportunity to choose and create a design of their choosing. Last year's choice was inspired by the 'Water Lily' painting by Claude Monet. This year it's the turn of Gustav Klimt and his gold toned 'Tree of Life'.
'Steffi' Little Elephant is the third miniature elephant to be released in the Designer's Choice Series. An instrumental design with great significance and importance. After all, where would Steiff be, if it hadn't been for the Little Elephant?
Steffi is 12cm long and non-jointed. He has been sewn from luxurious and decadent materials. He is crafted from the finest, gold dupion silk, with mini gold sequins upon his ears, glossy black eyes, plus a double saddle of cork with gold paint beneath an ornate wool felt, with a trio of golden beads. He also has a cork tail with gold paint accents, whilst standing upon a double base of cork and wool felt. Fabulously decorative, with elements of Gustav's Tree of Life hidden within.
The elephants are always popular being such a prominent part of Teddy Bear History. Designer's Choice 'Steffi' is a Worldwide Limited Edition of only 500 pieces and will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
