In 1907 Steiff managed to produce 1 million teddy bears, something that has yet to be repeated. To honour this spectacular achievement, in 2007 they created a trio of three special bears. Each was given the name 'Million Hugs' and were smaller versions of the 1907 Replica (found in the Steiff archives), that was released to mark this occasion and given the name 'The Million Hugs Bear'. Million Hugs is a 30 cm / 12" fully jointed teddy bear. He has been sewn from a luxuriously dense, short-pile chestnut mohair, with warm, wool felt paws, thoughtful boot button eyes and charming hand stitched features upon his shaved muzzle. To finish, a sumptuous navy ribbon bow, featuring 1907 on one half and 2007 on the other, sewn with glimmering, gold thread.
Million Hugs even features a special 1907 underscored, 'button in the ear', in gold-plate, bringing 1907 up to 2007.
He is a Limited Edition of just 3,000 pieces and will come boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity attached.
