Introducing the graceful Schana Swan, from Steiff's sustainable Teddies for Tomorrow series, recycling materials, in this case PET bottles, into fabulously soft and tactile new fabrics, courtesy of the German master teddy bear maker, Steiff.
Schana is a friendly and cuddly soft toy swan. She has been crafted from a luxuriously, soft and dense, snow white plush with velvety accents for the reverse of her wings and colourful black and yellow beak and adoring face.
All have been sewn from recycled PET bottles and she has even been lovingly stuffed, with PET polyester fibre filling too. She has glossy dark safety eyes with sweet hand stitched features on her beak. Both have received minimal hand applied shading and painting to help shape, define and create her captivating character.
Schana proudly wears her stainless steel 'button in the ear' (wing in this case), along with a green chest tag showing her importance. She also bears the CE symbol and is machine washable at 30C.
