The 1920s bought a new movement and a new way of life with it … a freshness of new ideas and a pletheral of never thought of before trends and designs, with America at its forefront. It is this new spirit and zest, that gave Richard Steiff the inspiration for whom he originally named Buschy, a bear with a more open expression and striking blue eyes, … renamed Petsy in 1930, (two years after the original release), he became an over night hit.
Petsy is a replica of an original, 1928 Petsy Bear. He is 35cm tall and fully jointed, with luxuriously wavy, brown tipped, cream mohair and wool felt paw pads. He has been traditionally stuffed, with wood shavings and has the cutest, cupped ears. His glass two tone, blue eyes are vivid and cheerful, whilst his shaved muzzle (which is now all cream), has a pale peach hand stitched nose and mouth. It is a very pretty look. To finish, the most gentle growl and a patinated steel, underscored button in the ear.
This appealing bear is a Worldwide Limited Edition of just 928 pieces and will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
