Created Exclusively for members of the Steiff Club, as their 2007 year bear, is Marianne Meisel, named after designer, Richard Steiff's daughter. The design from the bear is based around a water colour that Marianne painted and given life by Dietmar Simon (Head Designer), courtesy of the German, master teddy bear makers, Steiff.
Marianne is a 40 cm / 15.7", fully jointed teddy bear. She has been sewn from the finest, luxuriously dense and curly, rosewood (coral) hued mohair, with warm wool felt paws, sparkling black glass eyes and a hand stitched dark berry, nose and mouth upon her completely trimmed muzzle. Upon her head and woven across her chest are detailed wool felt leaves and flowers (matching the tone of her nose), featuring light-catching bead accents, adding a fairy-garden like essence.
She is an Exclusive Limited Edition of 2,850 pieces and will come in her black cotton, drawstring bag with embroidery details (logo) and her numbered certificate of authenticity.
