In 1992, Steiff released their premier Collectors Club Bear, Exclusively for the UK and Northern Ireland. One year later, America too, had the honour of receiving the first of many Collectors Club Bears, Exclusively for North America.
Meet the 1993 USA Collectors Club Bear 'Sam', a glorious replica from the roaring 1920's, when the economy was booming, art deco was over coming the traditional, and the future was everything, fabulously designed and created by the Artisans at Steiff.
Sam is a 28 cm / 12", fully jointed teddy bear. He has been sewn from a luxurious and dense, semi-wavy blonde mohair, with warm wool felt paws, glossy two-tone brown eyes and a hand stitched, black nose making up his charismatic face. Upon his neck he wears a patriotic ribbon of red, white and blue, whilst a porcelain disc acts as a pendant. It has the US Flag in the background, with a depiction of an older Steiff teddy bear, featuring the Steiff trademark button and logo across it. It reads Steiff Club U.S.A. Premiere Edition on the front whilst on the back … it says his name Sam.
This glorious treasure is a North American Exclusive Limited Edition of 4,643 pieces and will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
