This beautifully hued bear was created from a specially dyed coat, showing his allegiance to the Netherlands (Holland). The colour orange is important to the Dutch, which goes back many generations and they are often seen wearing it to signify pride in their country. A little Danish history – The colour orange dates back to 1544, when William Orange, at just 11 years old inherited the throne. Even today the Dutch Royal family bear the colour in their family name, Orange-Nassau. This pretty Holland Bear has been designed and created by the German, master teddy bear makers, Steiff.
Holland is a fully jointed teddy bear. He has been sewn from the finest, luxury mohair, with tactile cream suede palms and soles. He has glossy, two-tone brown safety eyes and a smart, inverted pentagon, hand stitched cocoa nose and mouth. He proudly wears a darker hued orange bow around his neck and still has his rectangular chest card. He is exceptionally appealing with his blush-orange coat and cocoa features creating a friendly and approachable bear.
