From 1999 we welcome the Swiss Exclusive 'Toblerone'. Some may know this chocolate bear as 'Schoggi'. He was made on the 100th Anniversary of the opening of Jean Tobler's (the founder) chocolate factory. 'Schoggi' has been given form by the clever artisans at Steiff.
In 1908 Jean's son Theodore (who now runs the business), along with his cousin Emil Baumann created a brand new chocolate bar, made from triangular shaped segments with almond nougat and honey. It was named Toblerone and as some would say … the rest is history.
Schoggi is 12" /30cm tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a gorgeously luxurious, chocolate mohair with glossy waves in his dense coat. He has warm contrasting wool felt paws with glossy eyes and a smart hand stitched nose. To finish, a sumptuous satin ribbon bow in yellow to match the hue of the boxed, favourite sweet treat.
This wonderful piece, complete with his gold plated button in the ear and white tag, is a Swiss Exclusive, Limited Edition of only 1,847 bears and will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
