This beautiful bear was crafted to look like an 'old, aged bear'. Steiff wanted to recreate the magic, of a bear forgotten in years and reimagined this, by creating a special mohair with the illusion it has been gently sun-kissed over time. This was the coat chosen to represent the 'Jewel in their Crown', their 2006 British Collectors Bear.
2006 is a 39 cm / 15.5" fully jointed, hand crafted teddy bear. He has been sewn from a magnificent and luxurious, caramel tipped, wavy textured, nutmeg mohair, with warm, wool felt paws, endearing and glossy, two-tone brown eyes and a smart, hand stitched chocolate nose, upon his shaved muzzle. Around his neck sits a decadent, deep-burgundy silk bow, whilst his strong hug, is just as appealing as his resonating growl. Everything you could want in a bear.
