Steiff Archive Collection
Since the beginning of Steiff’s company history in 1880, Margarete Steiff and her nephews have lovingly preserved every newly developed pattern.
Over time, this special collection has grown into the Steiff archive – a treasure trove in which almost all Steiff’s creations have found their place from the iconic plush friends and felt dolls to wooden toys and historical documents.
Some models have even been preserved in multiple duplicates and tell of the care and dedication that went into each design. World of Bears is one of a handful of World-Wide retailers that is working in partnership with Steiff by making available these original Steiff duplicates from the heart of the Steiff
archive in Giengen an der Brenz to be in your hands.

After the snow flurry of previous years and the release of The Snowman 2013, followed by the Snowdog in 2014, Steiff are proud to offer to you their lovable 13cm tall, Mohair Snowman Ornament.
The Snowman is non-jointed and sewn from luxurious mohair, with a matching tweed hat and scarf, embroidered coal buttons and orange peel nose, plus two satin ribbons for hanging.
– I remember the winter because it had bought the heaviest snow I had ever seen. Snow that had fallen steadily all night long, and in the morning I woke to a room filled with light and silence, the whole world seemed to be held in a dream-like stillness. It was a magical day…and it was on that day I made the Snowman –
… and on this day he made a miniature Snowman … The Snowman Ornament is 13cm tall and non jointed. He has been crafted from a decadent mohair with embroidered black coal eyes, coal buttons plus a wide smile, with an orange, tangerine peel nose. To keep out the chill, he wears his green tweed hat and scarf. Two satin ribbons are attached ready for hanging on a branch or hook, or if you prefer, keep him as a delightful miniature.
This much loved character created by Raymond Briggs is a UK and Ireland Exclusive of only 1,500 pieces and will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
