“If balls were meant to fly, they’d have wings!”
The No Good Gofers Pinball Machine is manufactured by Williams, makers of some of the greatest pinball machines in history.
This fantastic machine will make a great addition to any pinball arcade or collection. Designed by Pat Lawlor in 1997 (Addams Family, Twilight Zone, etc.), No Good Gofers is based on a golfing theme where you are trying to complete an entire round, scoring as many holes as possible. Along the way, two gophers named Buzz and Bud pop up out of the playfield, hell bent on ruining your game.
No Good Gofers is renowned as having the best and most innovative single shot in all of pinball – the hole in one shot, where a ramp comes down on to the playfield and you have to launch the ball into the air and into a hole at the back of the playfield! This is a rare and sought-after machine in the UK.
Features:
Two Pop-Up Gophers – The game’s two antagonists – Buzz and Bud hide beneath the playfield, popping up to taunt the player and try to block your shots. Hit them directly to pay them back.
Slam Ramp – This one-of-a-kind ramp shot slams to the playfield allowing you to take your shots airbourne, and onto a special elevated playfield for hard-to-reach shots.
Hole In One – Often called the most satisfying shot in pinball history. A well aimed shot up the slam ramp will sink the ball into the hole-in-one, leading to enormous point rewards.
Golf Ball Spinning Disc – Claim several different rewards from this spinning golf ball on the playfield, that also changes your ball’s course as it rolls over.
3 Flippers, 3 Pop Bumpers, 3 Ramps, 2 Slingshots, 2 Spinning Targets
Condition:
This pinball machine has been fully restored to a stunning condition and has been through a thorough inspection to ensure that it plays perfectly with no errors. The paint on both of the gophers has been worn away a little, as is standard on machines such as this.
Where necessary new balls, new rubbers, new decals and other parts have been fitted along with any cosmetic repairs, if needed. This is a vintage machine and can therefore carry small cosmetic imperfections due to its age.
Where this type of reconditioning process has been undertaken we will make it absolutely clear that this is the case and the price will reflect the amount of time taken and costs incurred in this process.
Reconditioning and Servicing – 26 Point Checklist:
Buying a pinball can be a lot like buying a car: there can be problems underneath the bonnet that you wouldn’t even know about, until they interrupt your fun!
It’s worth noting that pinball machines are complicated in their workings. There are pitfalls to buying a second hand pinball machine elsewhere, and if you don’t know what to look for, you can have an incomplete machine running at less than its potential. Furthermore, you could purchase a machine that is 20-30 years old and has a serious electrical fault.
However, every machine that comes through our doors undergoes an extensive 26-point check with our trained engineer. All machines undergo a full PAT test by a fully qualified engineer to eliminate any risk. We also check everything including the lighting, coils, flippers, full mechanics, electronics and everything else in between. These checks ensure that all components are rigorously tested and working.
This even includes cosmetic touch ups and a full wax clean. We complete this 26-point check to ensure y
